Edward Shaw
Edward Shaw focuses his law practice primarily in the area of family law, and has over fifteen years experience in that area. He is a member of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan. Additionally, he is a member of the Oakland County Bar Association as well as the Family Law section of the Washtenaw County Bar Association. He has been a lecturer on the law and has authored a weekly article in a local newspaper devoted to legal issues. Prior to becoming a divorce attorney, Mr. Shaw was employed at a large accounting firm where he was involved in the area of divorce litigation support, which included businesses and pension valuations and the analysis of various financial and tax issues involved in divorce. This experience has greatly enhanced his skills in analyzing property issues in divorce matters and in anticipating and planning for financial implications and tax consequences of divorce settlements.
